Joujeh Kebab


2 lbs chicken breasts

2 halved tomatoes

1 diced onion

¼ cup lemon juice

¼ teaspoon saffron threads

⅓ cup plain yogurt

⅓ teaspoon pepper

⅓ teaspoon salt


Crush and dissolve your Unique Natural saffron threads in 2 tablespoons of hot water for a few minutes. Then, mix it with the onion, lemon juice, yogurt, pepper and salt with blender to make a smooth paste. This would be your marinade. Cut your chicken breasts in cubes and add to the marinade paste in a bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic and allow the chickens to be marinated for minimum 2.5 hours in the refrigerator.

Bring out the chickens and skewer them using flat skewers. Also, skewer the halved tomatoes in separate skewers. Put the skewers on a (preferably charcoal) grill. Turn the chickens and tomatoes from time to time to make sure they are thoroughly cooked.
Serve your Joojeh Kabab with tomatoes. You can serve it with rice or bread. Enjoy!
